A few months ago, we noticed a big hard bump on Kelsie's neck. We hoped it was just a swollen gland or something that would go away after some time. After about 2 months, we took her to the doctor. He said it was some kind of cyst that would need to be removed. So we trucked on over to the Ear Nose Throat specialist. He confirmed that it was a bump ( I'm sure he used some technical term, but I don't remember what it is...I know that it meant "bump" in medical jargon) and that it would need to be removed. We are scheduled to have an ultrasound this afternoon and then we will schedule the surgery. Before you all get too worried, neither of the doctors seemed concerned at all. It is just something that needs to be taken care of before it causes any infections, but I was told, "It is nothing to be worried about." Just thought I would post it in the name of keeping everybody informed. I tried to get a good picture of it, but I don't know if you can see it or not. Anyway, I'll let you know more when I know more.

I know everything will be fine and I'll say a little prayer that she doesn't even notice what's going on! See you Wednesday!
I'm trying not to be too concerned - good luck anyway. Are you so bummed that she can no longer recover in her vacation home in Ojai?
Sounds like everything's under control and will be taken care of just fine...we'll be thinking about you, let us know how it goes. Kids are so resilient, she'll do great and recover in no time!
Not sure if you remember me (Kristen Oshita) from Ventura...just saw your blog on Jon Biglers and wanted to say hi!! I really hope your daughter's doing well, and please tell your mom and dad the Oshita's say hi!! www.shuzokukennerley.blogspot.com
Grandma came over and looked at your blog, and just was smiling. Anyways the Harts drive in shirts. Well the grownups (dad, mom, your mom, your dad, aunt marcia, uncle chip, and grandma) all have dinner once a month together. It was my mom's turn to do it at our house, so we put couches in the backyard, with a big sheet on a stand, and got a projector and card board on the side of the couches so it looked like a drive in. Me and Bobbi and Jamie and bobbi's friends. Had shirts on that said Harts drive in. Dad went and got them in the back of his truck and dropped them in the back yard. They had to give us their tickets adn pay real money for their food (hamburgers, 50 cents...) that we served. It was so much fun!!
